Week Recap October 18

Ever since approving the Atlantic Coast Pipeline, Governor Cooper has been trying to buy back the support of environmental extremists. To do so, he's putting forth a green energy proposal. Needless to say, it's not going well. Carolina Journal

After seven Democrats voted for the budget back in June, rumor had it that Cooper invited them over to the Governor's Mansion and basically introduced them to their primary challengers if they voted to override the impending veto. Someone finally asked them about it. They doth protest too much, methinks. WRAL

Let's look ahead to 2020. There are several counties that swung from blue to red in 2016, although one went the other way. In order to have more success in 2020 while taking back the NC Supreme Court, kicking Cooper out of office, and maintaining a majority in the NCGA, we'll have to expand on those wins and flip some more. Spectrum News

I will repeat this ad nauseam: start educating voters now about the judicial races. We need to win back the state Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals circuit or these ridiculous lawsuits from Democrat groups that can't win at the ballot box will continue. Smoky Mountain News
